Things to Avoid with Chiari Malformation

Due to lack of information on Chiari, people do not realize there are many things a Chiarian should avoid to ensure safety and avoid any life-threatening situations.

Physical Activities to Avoid:

  • Trampolines or bouncy houses

  • Anything that can create a g-force

  • Straining

  • Lifting more than 5-10 pounds

  • Contact sports - such as football or wrestling
